U.S. Marine Corps Organizational Culture Research Project: Notice of Data Availability in Qualitative Data Repository

##article.authors##

Abstract

The Marine Corps Organizational Culture Research (MCOCR) Project was an exploratory research effort conducted by Marine Corps University's Translational Research Group to gather information on U.S. Marine Corps culture with a particular focus on gender bias, cohesion, and leadership. The project arose in part from concerns related to the Marines United social media misconduct and also from longer-term leadership questions regarding shifts in Marine Corps culture. The resulting data set (177 transcripts from interviews and focus groups conducted in 2017) and associated reports and materials are available for use by other researchers. This is an exceptionally rich data set covering a very broad range of issues related to the lived experiences of U.S. Marines from a wide range of backgrounds, ranks, and specialties. This notice of data availability provides an overview of the project, the data set, and other available materials, as well as instructions for accessing the project.
